Spirit Pollution

This is my original character for an upcoming personal project I'm working on (comic story). Her name is Calestis. 

I actually had this idea long before I had an idea for this comic story. I started this sketchy painting around a year ago or so but never finished it. Then recently I realized that the painting fits my story and character a lot. It's like as if all these times, I already had an idea I didn't realize. 

This supposed to be another very personal painting of mine. It's been forever and ever since I did something so conceptual and dark like this. I used to paint strong conceptual piece but I stopped. Back then when I was trying to express myself, some people told me to paint something else because my stuffs were too dark, depressed, gloomy, etc. Now I'm just like, what the hell I don't care. It's my life, my art, my need to express myself. So what, right?
